What do you do with God's love?

The invitation of Jesus is simple yet life-changing: come. Just as Nicodemus sought Him in the night, we are called out of darkness into light, to be born again by water and the Spirit. God’s love is not distant or abstract—it is revealed in the gift of His Son, offered freely to all who believe. This love calls us to move beyond rules and religion, to embrace new life, forgiveness, and eternity with Him. The question remains: what will you do with God’s love?

Discussion Questions:

1. We often say we “love” things casually (food, clothes, weather). How does reflecting on the depth of God’s love challenge or reshape the way we use the word “love”?

2. Jesus told Nicodemus, “You must be born again.” What does being “born of the Spirit” look like in your own experience or journey of faith?

3. John 3:16 says God’s love is for “the world.” Are there people you find it difficult to believe God’s love could reach? How can we learn to extend grace where it feels undeserved?

4. Nicodemus came to Jesus at night, perhaps out of fear or uncertainty. What are some “dark places” in our own lives where we struggle to come fully into the light?

5. The sermon ended with the question: What will you do with God’s love? How would you answer that personally right now—in your family, your workplace, or your friendships?
