Our Witness

Jun 29, 2025    Amos Yoder

Spiritual growth doesn't happen by accident—it takes intentional practice, just like training for a race or mastering a skill. But when it comes to sharing our faith, many of us hesitate, unsure where to start or how to do it well. What if our everyday lives—the way we respond under pressure, treat others, and show up with kindness—are actually one of the most powerful tools for witnessing? Witnessing isn’t just about evangelism methods; it’s about how our everyday actions, words, and even reactions (like when your Culver’s order is wrong!) speak volumes about the Jesus we claim to follow. Be encouraged, challenged, and reminded that you are God’s plan A to bring hope to the world… and there is no plan B.

Group Discussion Questions:

1. When you hear the word “discipline,” what feelings or thoughts come to mind—especially in a spiritual context?

2. Can you think of a time when someone’s actions spoke louder than their words in revealing their faith? What stood out to you, and how did it impact your perspective?

3. Why do you think many Christians struggle to share their faith? What are some fears or barriers you personally face, and how can you begin to overcome them?

4. In what ways do you think your everyday behavior—how you respond to stress, treat people, or make decisions—either points people toward or away from Jesus?

5. Who in your life might be observing your faith from a distance right now? What small but intentional step could you take this week to live in a way that shows them God’s hope and love?

6. The idea that “you are God’s plan A, and there is no plan B” can feel both empowering and overwhelming. How does that truth challenge or encourage you in your daily life?
